One of the biggest wedding trends I hear most about from my clients is that they want something different for their wedding. So wanting something different is a trend in itself, il leave the irony to settle in. I have to admit I love the challenge though. Having to dream up different ways of how to make each wedding unique from the other while sticking within a reasonable budget, look no further, I’ve got this.
It starts with your venue. Once your date and venue are booked then the imagination can run wild, as wild as your poor wallet will allow! One of the ways my clients start by creating the setting for their unique wedding is by opting for an exclusive venue. This allows them full access to a venue for as long as they wish to stay. Exclusivity in a venue is worth its weight in gold in my opinion, you can really personalise every nook and cranny of your venue with decor that is chosen by you and brings out the personality of you and your significant other.
Do not be in a rush to dismiss exclusive venues due to the belief that they are outrageously expensive. Not all of them are. What is worth looking at is highlighting exactly what you are getting by essentially renting an estate for an entire weekend. (Most exclusive venues in Ireland tend to be large estates or even some castles!)
One such estate that is a personal favourite of mine is Liss Ard Estate in West Cork. The estate boasts 163 acres of gorgeous countryside and an amazing 50 acre lake! What many guests don’t realise is that when you book your wedding here, you have access to all of this amazing countryside too! It is the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting of course) and your guests will have a gorgeous view during your drinks reception. Skip ahead to the following day and you can host outdoor adventures in the gardens or even on the lake itself before starting the festivities again with a BBQ in the evening. I was lucky enough to style the venue for a recent wedding in September and again at their wedding fair in October and it truly is a magical setting for your wedding.
